ethnography
RESEARCH & COLLECTIONSFor a long time ethnography formed the core discipline of the Museum, with the collections dating back to the establishment of the Museum in 1934. The section holds about 15,000 objects collected from different parts of Zambia. Though not exhaustive, the collection gives a comprehensive assemblage of materials of the various ethnic groups in the country. The Section continues to study the socio-economic and cultural activities of the people of Zambia.
