RESEARCH & COLLECTIONSThe Archaeology Section was established in 1957 as a direct result of the advances made by the Museum in archaeological research, especially concerning the Stone Age epoch of Zambia. The section has contributed greatly to the understanding of Zambia’s prehistory, undertaking research in about two-thirds of the country, to the effect that now people can write more authoritatively on the Stone Age and Iron Age epochs of Zambia. The section has over 3,000 collections.
