BOTANY
RESEARCH & COLLECTIONSThe Botany Section was started in 2001 and houses a small collection of Zambian plants. The section projects to have representative collections of plants around Zambia as well as collections of some of the rare and endangered plant species in Zambia.
Zambia is not spared from the effects of climate change and one of the drivers is the loss of forest cover due to human activities. The section plays an important role in informing members of the public about the importance of protecting our forests and the need to utilize forest resources sustainably.
